Tis the Season For Giving! Season’s Greetings from the Big Easy Wing, This holiday season please consider making a gift that preserves the legacy of flight. As you know, the heroes of the Greatest Generation are declining, but they will never be forgotten. The Big Easy Wing believes it is important to restore these planes not only to honor the men and women who built, flew and serviced them but to inspire and educate future generation about the importance of military aviation. In the spirit of the holidays, the Commemorative Air Force is highlighting the CAF Big Easy Wing in the”12 Planes of Christmas” fundraising campaign. This year, from December 2, 2019 to January 1, 2020, the Big Easy Wing (BEW) is participating in this campaign to help raise funds for our PT 17 Stearman (New Orleans Lady) our Langhurst Ju 87 Stuka. The BEW depends on donations to restore, maintain, fly and exhibit these CAF airplanes. We have a dedicated volunteer workforce that maintains them and wants to keep them flying. Help us get our planes in the air! Our goal this year is to raise to $16,000 for our PT 17Stearman (New Orleans Lady ) and $8000 for the Langhurst Ju 87Stuka. Please visit these sites to learn more about each of the aircraft. We are challenged with an essential upgrade required by FAA for both planes. We must have an ADS-B system in 2020 for either of them to fly. Your donation today will help preserve their legacy for future generations and maintain them in the New Orleans area. Each of the airplanes in our fleet played a unique role in history and each has a story to tell. Please follow this link to make a donation Support Us (click on the Donate button, select one of the BEW team and choose a donation amount.) We hope that we can count on you to help to get the New Orleans Lady back in the air and our Langhurst Ju 87 Stuka flying again! Please forward this message to any of your friends and family who might also believe in preserving military aviation history. Thank you in advance for your contribution and have a wonderful holiday!
