The Big Easy Wing is celebrating its one-year anniversary, on April 28th. It has been a great first year. And, to celebrate this occasion, we will be having an informal social at our hangar. Our immense hangar is still in the repair stage, but it is our home and I know you will be impressed. So please, join us! Be sure to RSVP through [email protected]
We are planning several other workdays. The next one is set for Saturday, 21 at 9 am. Once the huge hangar doors are repaired, we will be having a pressure washing work day. A couple of the members have machines. But it is a big place and we will need members to assist in this endeavor.
The Big Easy Wing is participating in GiveNOLA Day. GiveNOLA is a 24-hour, online giving event organized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation to ignite the giving community in Southeast Louisiana. The goal is to inspire the community to come together for 24 hours to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible to support the work of local nonprofit organizations, like the Big Easy Wing. Last year’s GiveNOLA Day raised nearly $4.9 million from 38,000+ donations across the nation.
